Next Phase Sound Studios
We do things a little differently than most studios. Every room starts out with the same great gear:
A Yamaha Stage Custom kit, which we reskin on a regular basis.
An Ampeg SVT 3 Pro bass amp with the matching 8x10 speaker cabinet.
Four all tube guitar amps: the Marshall DSL 100 with the matching cabinet, a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe or Deville, a Blackstar Club 40 or Stage 60, and for that modern metal sound, a Peavey 6505+ with a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier cabinet.
Next Phase Sound Studios is know for having largest selection of guitar amps that you are likely to find in the area. From Marshall, we have the much sought after JMP series in the 50 (plexi) and 100 watt models from the 70s. If you are a big fan of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, or any other heavy bands from this era, these are the heads for you. If you’re more of an 80s kind of player, we have both the 50 and 100 watt versions of the Marshall 800 series guitar amps. From the Ramones to Guns N’ Roses, this series of Marshalls is considered by many the best amps ever designed.
Are you really into the Seattle sound, like Jane’s Addiction, Nirvana, and Soundgarden? If so, we have both 50 and 100 watt versions of the 900 series Marshalls. When you are looking for the Grunge sound, this is the way to go. We also have the original Peavey 5150, the 6505+, and the new EVH 5150 for all you Van Halen lovers.
If you want to play some Beatles, why not just grab the classic Vox AC 30?!!! Some players just need a great vintage Guitar Amp. For those guitarists, we have a Fender Deluxe, Vibrolux, Blackface bassmen and a drip edge Twin Reverb. Add to this list our brand new Supro Black Magic, and just about everyone is covered.
For a complete list of gear, please visit our Gear page.
We did not forget about you drummers! Our snare drum collection includes both the Ludwig Supersonic and Black Beauty, as well as some great snare drums from Porkpie, Tama, and Premier. If you need a double pedal, you can select from DW or the Tama Iron Cobra series.
Bassists can choose from Mark Bass, Aguilar, Ashdown, EBS,Genz Benz and our all tube Ampeg SVT.
We are proud to have Midas digital mixers in EVERY room. You can’t beat the sound quality and flexibility of these units. All of our rooms feature JBL SR series speaker cabinets powered by Crown and QSC amplifiers.
Great gear is nothing without a great sounding room! That is why we have put so much attention into the acoustic in our rehearsal studios. Not only do we have the proper amount of sound panels, but we also have bass traps and diffusion panels on the walls and ceilings.
